What exactly do Jehovah's Witnesses believe?
by chashathaway ini hear a lot, both on this forum and elsewhere, about all kinds of things jehovah's witnesses believe.
but i've never felt that outsiders were a good source of information about what faithful watchtowers actually believe.
in fact, i've discovered that the worst source of information about a religion is from those who were members but left the faith.

The 14,400-Anointed JWs, are they only whites no people of color???
by Scott77 inis samuel hard's appointment to gb, an attempt of jw to fight off racial accusation?
why is that the majority of 144000 are only white people?
if the 144000 is an equal representation of all people from the earth, how about the chinese?

Fear....they called
by 4mylove inwell, i'm being brave enough to type from home.. apperently when my husband went to eh memorial one of the brothers asked him for his number and he provided it.
we were having a peaceful evening when he listened to a voicemail.. i am physically getting ill, shaking, crying and hoping this is nothing.. caller said, "it showed alot of respect by you coming to the memorial...".
i feel my life is over..... 4.

If reading the Bible as a JW, why bother meditating?
by Crisis of Conscience ini was inspired to write this based on a post in another thread.. as a jw you are told to read and let the bible speak to you.. that would mean that you could reach a different conclusion on a certain scripture or account.
but that may not coincide with what the fds has as an explanation or conclusion.
this in turn, according to the standard makes you wrong if you "want" to be humble and wait for "new light.".

How about this one:
I went from milk to solid food, from superficial study to deep study, and I came up with a slightly different set of beliefs............all based on the Bible.
I guess I went too deep.

Are you kidding me?
You came HERE to ask a question that can be answered all over the web?
For some reason, I doubt your sincerity.

by Confuzzled insorry if this is rambling.
i just have some thoughts i need to get out.
i've mentioned before my thought about faking my way through the cult, or at least pretending to, would make my life easier.

Totally open for suggestions
by Heartbreaker ini need a new focus.
having a lot of kids, it's easy to be wrapped up in taking care of them, and letting them be your center, but they are all gettting to that age of having their own thing.
my husband and i are good about taking time out to do things as a couple, and i've tried to get a new job off the ground.. i just still feel empty, and find myself getting sad about things that i should let me get sad.

Question regarding Jesus the Judge, Jehovah the judge.. serious replies please
by callitquits76 ini was just wondering how a jehovah's witness would answer this.. in john 5:22, the nwt states:.
"the father judges no one, but has committed all the judging to the son".
in rev 18:8, the nwt states:.

I'm still looking for someone to tell me what the holy spirit's name is.
You know, in the NAME of the father, the son, and the holy spirit.
